But honoring the victims of the US atomic bombings of Japan comes as Russia threatens to use nukes, and the US pushes a war on Russia that could lead to nuclear disaster
I wish that in receiving this Nobel Peace Prize the Japanese recipients had acknowledged the 70,000 Koreans who had been forcibly removed from their country by the Japanese and who were in Hiroshima and Nagasaki when the bombs were dropped. Those Koreans A-bomb victims were victimized by both the U.S. and the Japanese.
You are right, though I think that given the crimes of the US in its nationwide destruction by inxcendiary bombing of almost all Japanese cities -- an attack on civilians that was even worse than what was visited on Germany -- as well as the two atomic bombings, the Japanese suffered enough at our hands. The US on the other hand, as the victor, suffered little -- no damage to the US except for US territories in the Pacific, notably Pearl Harbor, so for the US -- especially after it's massive carpet bombing of North Korea and its widespread killing of South Koreans too during the Korean War, and it's killing of three million Vietnamese, Laotions and Cambodians during the '60w and '70s in no position to criticze Japan at this point. The Japanese people should criticize themselves for their abuse of Koreans in their midst and under their occupation.
