The website for the NPR syndicated program “The Pulse” has already posted the full program, which begins with an interview of me about my book “Spy for No Country: The story of Ted Hall, the teenage atomic spy who may have saved the world.” (Prometheus Books, 2024), that interview, which runs about 35 minutes, is followed by a shorter interview with Sarah Scoles, author of “Countdown: The blinding of America’s nuclear weapons,” about the US’s controversial trillion-dollar nuclear arsenal “modernization” program.
My interview gives a good summary introduction to the book, and hopefully will leave listeners to dig into the book, which noted investigative journalist Robert Scheer has called, “An amazing story! A really important book, well documented and knowledgeable.”
